THE AGGRIEVED HONGKONG!

THE AGGRIEVED HONGKONG

The entire hongkong was in abject poverty for its compatriots when flood over flushed it in the late 1908. The empire chief went with his entourage to announce to the residents in an area near the river to build a dyke in anticipation because he had foreseen some symptoms of water washed of the city in his dream. Meanwhile the Chinese were thrilling and enjoying the boom harvest with a bright sunshine from its cultivation.
In the early 1908 Hong Kong was a boom place for the plantation of crops and summer festival. Vehicles like cars and trucks are always full of people and farm products. The farmers are the wealthiest people in Asia with the largest number of vehicles plying the main roads and highways. They also have the biggest estate being constructed in Asia. Their children are easily recognized with expensive clothing and education given to them. In the mid of 1908 the Chinese had a plan to build a river basin that rice and other cereals would be planted on.
They dug a canal with over twenty thousand men in action spending over two months. They imported timbers from Zambia and Tanzania for the constructing of bridges along the edge. The empire Chief had a paramount meeting with the minor chiefs towards the mid of 1908 before executing his agenda of constructing a river basin.
In the day of this paramount meeting, there was a sirene, trumpets, clads and dancing of all kinds here and there. There was also chanting of joy and happiness containing the city. The Warriors were well dressed in their attires with their bows and arrows in their hands and on top of their well robust donkeys. There was also a big marching in all the major roads of their city. People were chanting and saying the names of their empire Chief-Zedong, Hail Zedong! Hail Zedong!! Hail Zedong!!! The great Chief of our time!
Women were gathered in their thousands singing may Buddha bless of our empire chief and his minor chiefs and the entire city. They also chanted his tenure had brought us joy and happiness. We could feed and eat the way we like, we could also drink and merry the way we like. After the parade and dancing, people now gathered in their thousands and marched toward his magnificent palace for the major ceremony which had signified to take place.
The Empire Chief was in his royal dress and his minor chiefs were also well dressed in their attires while the warriors who guarded the palace were dress in their battle uniforms. The Empire chief made a major announcement; in his announcement he praised the efforts of his minor chiefs for adhering to his ideas and advice and he also praised the efforts of warriors for the battle against Tibetans in the year before in which they won. He promoted all of them who fought in the war and gave each of them a piece of land and some gifts of money. At the long run of his speech, he told all the people of the city that they should always have regard for their farmers and give them the help they need. He called upon all his farmers from North to South, West to East and gave each of them titles for their performances and kudos for their efforts for boom of their harvest and feeding all the citizens to their fullest.
After the announcement, there was a big merriment and dancing in the palace in which everyone were deeply involved because of the great happiness and exuberance! The festival took place for two days. After two days of joyfulness and happiness many people go back to their working place and praised their Empire Chief for a job well done.  At exactly the mid of 1908, the commencement of a River basin was put in place. The engineers started their work and they dug a very big river basin which rice and other cereals were to be planted on it. They also imported logs of wood from Tanzania and Zambia in which they constructed a very long and strong bridge along the periphery. After this heavy project they planted rice and other cereals like wheat, millet and sorghum on it. On the bridge built along the periphery they use it as a major transport for their herds of cattle and other animals like pigs and dogs. There goes another successful boom and project for the city until the late 1908 in which they was a heavy flood which came after a torrential rainfall and over flushed the whole city like water never runs dry!  The construction of the river basin contributed to the economy and improved the standard of the living of individuals in the city and people from all over parts of other cities and villages heard the wisdom of the Empire Chief Zedong. How he had contributed immensely to the development of his city and well being of individual citizens. They appreciated his effort whenever they came to see his good work.
Some used to bring gifts for him and his minor chiefs. Some of the tourists and visitors brought gold, silver, honey, sugar, salt and iron ore etc. Some of these gifts being given to him and his minor chiefs were given to his farmers and warriors whom he appreciated much for their efforts into succeeding in keeping their plans to modified the city into boom of harvest. Many also came for advice on how to promote their farmers and other affairs of their cities and villages into what we call SUCCESS! There was a Chief adviser who came from Thailand and saw the success of Hong Kong and said to himself aloud oh……….my Buddha what a lovely city! When would my own village could become developed like this? Many praises, adulations and admirations were heaped on the Empire chief, minor chiefs and the workers particularly farmers.
There was a commandant sent from the Far East to the Empire chief, when coming to him he brought ten tons of gold for him as a gift for saving the lives of his household during the war against Tibetans. This heap of gold was used to construct monuments of himself and his best loved wife and his offspring.  The monuments were surrounded by special guards with bonus salary.
Some tourists come to visit these monuments which had been the best of seventeen century. Some Buddhists even went there for prayers and they said they believed the Empire chief was a saint sent by God to them. Some even came there and started singing or even gave sermon after that paying respect to the image before leaving.
Praises, enjoyment, boom went on for some months before the arrival of the torrential rain which caused the heavy flood that swept the whole city into nothing thereby turning it to ground zero.
In the mid of 1908,the empire Chief was sleeping then one day he had a dream that there was hailstones from the sky that burnt the whole city, he was awoke. He thought it was just a dream.  The second day he slept, then in the midnight he dreamt that was a cobra swallowing a fat cow, he was awaken again! This dream continued for almost two weeks consecutively.
The last dream was that he saw tiger and hen fighting, and then the hen defeated the tiger thereby killing it. Then he now knew it was not just an ordinary dream. When he got awoken he sent for his wise men and minor chiefs. The wise men came first because they lived nearest to him. When they came, they consulted their oracle and they lied to Empire Chief that he should beware of his minor Chiefs.
When the minor Chiefs now came in their numbers, instead of the Empire Chief to be calm and dealt wisely with them. He started quarrelling and arguing with them for late coming!
Now the battle of defeat has just begun in the city once regarded as the best in Asia.
In the meeting instead of the Empire Chief to say what he dreamt of to the minor chiefs, he called them to a private room and told that they were planning to kill him and dethroned him due to jealousy! They were all shocked and did not know what to say. After this meeting they now left and he gave drinking and food with some pieces of gold and silver to his wise men not knowing that they were fooling him.
With what the wise men told him and he had put his entrust in them; he then distanced himself from his minor chiefs and held several meetings without their awareness and presence.
He did most of his several meetings and conventions with his so called WISE MEN.
Then towards the day he had a dream again which really got him to panic a lot. He had a dream that he saw a dragon flying and spitting out fire to the whole entire city. He told his best loved wife who now sent for a different oracle man called Taingwaiyi in the Far East.
The wise man consulted his oracle and told the Empire Chief that he has broken his some vows taken by him and he also told him some words by starting with proverb. He told the Empire Chief this proverb and said “when a river forgets it source it will get dried”.
The Empire Chief was shocked and asked him what was the meaning of this? The wise man told him that he had falsely accused his own minor chiefs by ignoring and abused them. That if he could succeed he should first and foremost called upon them and apologized to them.
Immediately, the Empire Chief sent for his minor chiefs and when they came he asked his dancers to sing and danced for them. After that he hugged them and asked his servants to serve the best meal he had. He killed twenty cattles for them and gave them his best wine.
He gave each of them five pieces of gold. He then sought for apology from them.

The wise man was included in the apology. The wise man told that his so called wise men were corrupted and vile. That he should keep away from them. The wise man also told him the meaning of his dream that him and the whole entire city should be well prepared for the forthcoming disaster.  He told him that the dream of a flying dragon spitting out fire meant disaster is coming to the city that they should get prepared in anticipation. The Empire Chief now asked and said what type of disaster would this be? The wise man consulted his oracle once again and said that the» spitting of fire by a flying dragon” meant that there would be a torrential rainfall in which would be a big disaster for the entire city that it is good that the preparation should be done now that “prevention is better than cure’’. That if they prepared now for it that there would be no disaster.  After the message, both the Empire Chief and all his minor Chiefs were very glad and expressed their profound gratitude for the efforts and sage of the WISE MAN.

The second day the Empire Chief sent his servants to his dignitaries and all his farmers to come to his palace. When these elites came, the Empire Chief passed the message and they started laughing and yelling that the Empire Chief was afraid for nothing. He called his minor chiefs and asked them to also pass the message of the WISE MAN to them. When the minor chiefs passed it to them, they were still yelling and laughing. They told the minor chiefs that the city is very beautiful and prosperous! That nobody or anything whatsoever could destroy the magnificent and prosperous city.

They now left without heeding to the advice of Empire Chief and his minor chiefs. After few months to that very day, the Empire Chief had a dream again that a Zebra fought with lion and defeated the lion.  The Empire Chief now knew this was a serious warning. Since the farmers and the important dignitaries ignored his warnings, he sent his town criers to use siren blares and gave messages to the people of the entire city to build dyke round the city and protect the river basin from flooding the city. The whole city was at first panic then after few days became relieved and said that nobody should come to them again and scared them with bad news!
Then they started merriment and dancing as usual enjoying the boom and prosperous of the city. In late 1908 then one day there was a bright sunshine and cool breeze. Then suddenly in the evening time there was a big thunderstorm from the sky. Everybody was confused and ran here and there. After five hours everything was calm and peaceful.  Then in the midnight that there was another big thunderstorm again which awoken the whole city. Then a torrential rain started which lasted three months nonstop!
The rain fell, fell, fell, fell, fell………………..and fell for three months.
During this period of rainfall the whole residents started crying, weeping and seeking for help from the Empire Chief, his minor chiefs, farmers and other elites which was too late then.

Some of this citizens made a different proposal that they should start using some of those timbers left to construct dyke round the city while some took to the ideas of the Empire Chief to start constructing a dyke using cement and heavy stones as he had proposed to them long time ago while some were against these suggestions.

At last they came into concessions to start constructing a dyke round the city and particularly they emphasized on the river basin. Then they started but the torrential rain wouldn’t allow them.   Then forced themselves and adhered to the heavy rainfall. They dug a hole round the city towards the basin first and foremost. Then it was going due to some human efforts. They did this for a long period of time! After some days it was successful and they were glad. They now faced the entire city and built dyke round it. It took them more than thirty three days with lots of human efforts and animals like cattle and camels. Some of these animals used died during the process while some became disabled. Very few of the animals involved survived.
The men involved in this hard project were very exhausted while some were hospitalized.
At the long run, they built a dyke but less powerful because the ground was very wet and could not contained the strength of the dyke. The Empire Chief and minor chiefs heard about what the residents started and sent a message to them using a proverb says “It is too late to cry when the head is cut off’’ When the people heard this message some of them were saddened while some said the Empire Chief was crazy. After more than thirty six days of torrential rainfall, some party of the dyke began crumbling.
Then the people knew the proverb of the Empire Chief was right. They held an emergency meeting to host the Empire Chief and his minor chiefs at the centre of the city. They sent people to the Empire Chief which was ignored because he was very upset. After a while they sent for the minor chiefs which were successful. Then when they came they apologized to them and asked them to go and bring the Empire Chief. When they got his palace, it was totally locked. There was a message on the door which says the Empire Chief refused to see any visitor or held discussion with anybody till further notice. They went the second day till a week which proved void.
Then gradually the dyke crumbles one after the other. Then water began to contain  the city.  The aggrieved of Hong Kong has just begun! People began wailing; shouting, screaming and crying but nothing changes but flood spiralled and spiralled.
After two months of heavy rainfall half of the city was totally awashed with water. Many people died and many animals perished. Then two and half of the months the river basin was over full and contained the rest of the city and the flood became worst to the city and its residents and that was the AGGRIEVED OF HONG KONG. Nobody survived the heavy flood that inundated the city in the late 1908.
